
Southwest Trading Company opened for business in September of 2000, offering Mexican and Southwest style furniture. In October of 2007, Gregg and Lisa Henline bought Southwest Trading. Their son, Chris, helps out during breaks from the university and in 2011, Guy Pitman joined the team.
The owners, are driven by a passion for downtown Spruce Pine, NC, a flair for decorating, and a desire to support the American made product industry. They also love log cabins! Gregg and Lisa began to bring in more Appalachian, log style furniture made in various parts of the USA, including some by the Amish.
